These blasting caps have been characterized in terms of the materials used for their production and the applied explosives. The investigation results of selected blasting caps and their most important characteristics are given. Among other things, dependence between a response time of a blasting cap and a supply voltage was presented as well as influence of extreme temperatures on its reliability and response time was given.
